For one night, Out of the Box takes over the Kurzaal, with its frescoed ceilings, chandeliers and the sea at the door, and hands the room to GORDO. Six hours, one floor, nothing ordinary.
For fourteen years the world knew him as Carnage. In 2022 he walked away from all of it and became GORDO, and immediately produced Drake's Honestly, Nevermind, the #1 album that put house music on top of the charts and made him Billboard's #1 producer.
Since then: “Sideways” with Drake, “Hombres y Mujeres” with Feid, main stages at Coachella and Tomorrowland, a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, and TARAKA, his own party that has taken over Tulum, Mykonos, Rio and Pacha Ibiza.
On 4 December, that party lands in Scheveningen.
The Kurzaal has heard Edith Piaf, Maria Callas and Duke Ellington. In 1964 the Rolling Stones played their first show on the European mainland here. The crowd rioted and the band fled the stage after seven minutes. The room has been legendary ever since.
